The World Cup events in Lillehammer (NOR) have been confirmed with a positive Snow Control on Thursday, 17th November.

Due to the low temperatures, the organizers were able to start producing artificial snow.

Thus, the planned Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping World Cup events can be held in the Lysgaardsbakkene and Birkebeineren stadium as planned.

“With the snow production start this week, the final preparations for our upcoming World Cups in Lillehammer are initiated. We are happy that thanks to the tireless commitment of the OC, nothing stands in the way of holding our events in December“, said Nordic Combined Race Director Lasse Ottesen. “We are looking forward to fantastic competitions, including the eagerly awaited season opening of our Nordic Combined women.”

Therefore, Lillehammer is ready for the upcoming FIS Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping World Cups from 2nd– 4th December 2022.
