Tschagguns: Rehrl proofs strength in Provisional Round

The finals of the 2022 FIS Summer Grand Prix started with a Provisional Competition Round for the Nordic Combined men this evening.

55 athletes from 11 nations took part in the Official Training and PCR on the HS108 in Tschagguns (AUT).

The furthest jump of the day was performed by Franz-Josef Rehrl with 103 meters. With 136.9 points the Austrian secured the victory of the PCR on home soil.   
His team mate Martin Fritz reached 102 meters and took the second rank with a total of 132.9 points in atmospheric floodlight at the Montafon Nordic Center. 
3rd place went to Norwegian Espen Andersen (99.5 m, 131.8 pts), who just joined the 2022 Summer Grand Prix in Tschagguns with the national team.

Overall World Cup champion Jarl Magnus Riiber was on site as well, but didn’t compete due to a shoulder injury.
