Claudia Purker celebrated the first victory of her career at the Continental Cup in Eisenerz (AUT) yesterday.

Trine Göpfert was in the lead after the Ski Jumping round on the HS109, reaching the furthest distance of the day with 97 meters.
The German collected 111.4 points and was the first one to start into the 5 km cross-country race.

Rank 2 was taken by Claudia Purker with 96 meters (110.3 pts), who went into the course only 4 seconds after Göpfert.
Joanna Kil (91 m, 103.5 pts) from Poland placed third, 32 seconds behind the leader.

In an exciting cross-country race, Göpfert couldn’t defend her lead and fell back, while Purker took the first position.
Meanwhile, American Alexa Brabec raced up from 5th place after jumping to the leading group.
The vice Junior World Champion from Planica showed another strong skiing performance and almost caught Purker on the home stretch.
In the end, the Austrian defended her lead to the finish line, narrowly claiming the first victory of her career, only 1.2 seconds ahead of Brabec. Kil kept her position and came in 3rd, 11.8 seconds behind, defending her Overall COC lead.
