Jarl Magnus Riiber is the winner of the second competition in Ruka (FIN).

The Norwegian was already in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on the Rukatunturi HS 142 this morning.

In snowy conditions the reigning World Champion jumped the furthest distance of the day with 143,5 meters (171.4 pts) in the morning and took the lead. He was therefore be the first one to start into the Gundersen 10 km race this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to last season’s Overall World Cup champion Johannes Lamparter from Austria, who reached the same distance as Riiber with 143.5 meters and collected a total of 163.5 points. He started the race 32 seconds after the Norwegian.

Germanys Terence Weber (142.5 mts, 154 pts) placed third 1:10 min seconds behind the leader.

Due to the large time gaps, Riiber ran a lonely race at the front. Lamparter tried to get closer but couldn't catch up to the strong Norwegian, who showed a great performance despite his shoulder injury.

After 5 km the gap was 39.7 seconds and was steadily increasing. Meanwhile, Weber was unable to maintain his position and fell behind Joergen Graabak (+1:20.1 min) and Stefan Rettenegger (+1:40.4 min).

Riiber went into the last lap with a lead of 50.3 seconds and was therefore uncatchable for Lamparter. The Norwegian reached the finish line first and not only secured the day's victory, but also the lead in the Ruka Tour and Overall World Cup.

Lamparter (+53.8 sec) came second, followed by Joergen Graabak (+1:26.2 min) in third place.
