Mari Leinan Lund is the winner of the women’s first ever Schwarzwaldpokal in Schonach (GER).

The Norwegian was already in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on the Langenwaldschanze HS 100 today.

Under a blue sky, Lund jumped the furthest distance of the day with 96 meters (134.2 pts) in the morning and took the lead. Therefore, she was the first one to start into the 4 km cross-country race at the Wittenbachtal stadium this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to Gyda Westvold Hansen who landed at 93.5 meters (124.8 pts) and went into the course 28 seconds after her team mate.

Nathalie Armbruster (93 mts, 124.1 pts) from Germany placed third, 30 seconds behind the leader.

Lund confidently defended her lead, while Hansen was unable to maintain her position. German Trophy leader Ida Marie Hagen showed her skiing strength again and caught up with the former World Cup dominator, together with Nathalie Armbruster, on the first lap.

After 2 km, Hagen (+29.2 seconds) led the chasing group ahead of Armbruster (+29.7 seconds), Hansen (+30.3 seconds) and Haruka Kasai (+30.9 seconds).

Hagen, who currently also wears the red bib as Best Skier, worked her way up to Lund after 3.1 km to within 17.2 seconds and left the other pursuers behind on the long climb.

In the end, she still couldn't catch up with Lund who celebrated her second World Cup victory. Hagen (+13 sec) reached the finish in second place, ahead of Armbruster (+25.4 sec) in third place, who achieved her first podium of the season.

While Lund was the first woman to win a Schwarzwaldpokal today, Hagen took the lead in the Overall World Cup standings from Gyda Westvold Hansen.

The Norwegian also confidently defended her lead in the WIRmachenDRUCK German Trophy.
