Gyda Westvold Hansen is the winner of the Women’s Individual Gundersen in Oberwiesenthal, after already being in the lead after the Ski Jumping competition on the Fichtelbergschanze HS105 this afternoon.

In warm temperatures the Norwegian jumped the furthest distance of the day with 101 meters (124.9 pts) and took the lead. Therefore, she was the first one to start into the 5 km race up the Fichtelberg this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to yesterday’s PCR winner Svenja Würth from Germany, who reached 99 meters (109 pts) and went into the course 1:04 min after Hansen.

Nathalie Armbruster (91 mts, 102.8 pts) placed third 1:28 min behind the leader.

Hansen managed a solid start-to-finish victory by constantly extending her lead despite the difficult course on the Fichtelberg.

Würth was unable to follow the Norwegian's high pace, while Ema Volavsek came up from behind.

With a strong performance, Ida Marie Hagen fought her way forward and passed Nathalie Armbruster, Jenny Nowak and numerous other competitors on the steep climb to the Fichtelberg.

While Hansen reached the finish first with a lead of 2:19 min, Volavsek (+2:19.3 min) and Hagen (2:19.5 min) made an exciting sprint to the finish, which the Slovenian narrowly won.
