The Norwegian Maren Lundby has ended her career as an active ski jumper. "I feel it's the best thing for me," explained the 29-year-old.

Maren Lundby competed in the World Cup for the first time in the 2011/2012 season and has taken part in a total of 161 Ski Jumping World Cups.
With 30 World Cup victories, Lundby is one of the most successful female ski jumpers in history; only the Japanese Sara Takanashi (53 World Cup victories) has celebrated more individual successes in the World Cup.
Lundby celebrated her last World Cup success in Lillehammer in 2020.

In 2018, 2019 and 2020, Lundby won the overall World Cup, in 2018 she was Olympic champion in Pyeongchang and in 2019 (Seefeld) and 2021 (Oberstdorf) Lundby was world champion.

Pioneer Lundby
In addition to her sporting successes, Lundby, who is extremely popular in Norway, has also played a significant role in the further development of women's ski jumping in recent years.
Among other things, Lundby has been a permanent supporter of large hill competitions and women's ski flying.
The outstanding success at the women's ski flying premiere in Vikersund in 2023 was largely thanks to Maren Lundby.
Lundby has always been held in the highest esteem in ski jumping because of her friendly and respectful manner.
All the best Maren, we hope you will stay in the sport of ski jumping.
