As already suspected, Germany's Ramona Straub sustained a serious knee injury in her crash last weekend in Oslo (NOR).

Dr. Andreas Kugler diagnosed an ACL tear in her right knee in an examination on Monday in Munich.

"Unfortunately the season is over for Ramona due to this injury", said team doctor Florian Porzig. The team World Champion will undergo surgery in Munich as soon as the irritation in the knee decreased.

The 25-year-old, who is currently 12th in the overall World Cup and achieved her first podium finish last December with the second place in Lillehammer, will now be sidelined for a couple of months.
