After another thrilling competition, the podium of Sunday was eventually the replica of the previous day. Japanese Sara Takanashi celebrated a second win this weekend, ahead of Nika Kriznar (SLO)and Silje Opseth (NOR).

Winning once again the qualification and this 3rd world cup in Hinzenbach, Japanese Sara Takanashi demonstrated immediate results of her work done on the technique. Scoring 234. 1 points, she also posted the longest jump with 92,5 m. "My jumps were technically very good this weekend and it was the key to success. Although I am surprised about this 59th victory in my career, I still wish more victories " said the Japanese. It had indeed been nearly a year since her last victory and her last back-to-back wins in march 2018 !

20-year-old Nika Kriznar followed again second just 3.1 points behind. The smiling Slovenian had in Hinzenbach a tremendously successful weekend with a podium every day, starting on Friday with her first career victory.

Third-placed Silje Opseth (NOR) was also satisfied with her second podium this weekend even if she thought she could have done better jumps, scoring in total 223.5 points.

Fighting for the podium but missing it with just 0.2 points difference, current leader Austrian Marita Kramer followed fourth, having now just 9 points ahead of Slovenian Kriznar in overall ranking. Maren Lundby kept her fifth place of previous day, equalising on Sunday with 219.7 points with Russian Irina Avvakumova, who is now definitely in a strong shape.

German Katharina Althaus achieved her best ranking this weekend with the seventh position.

With an evolution within the first and second jump, Austrian team completed the top 10 with Daniela Irashko-Stolz, Chiara Hoelzl and Lisa Eider, scoring just 0.1 or 0.2 points difference each. (206.4, 206.3 and 206.1 points - eighth to tenth)

The competition was interrupted just before the final 3 jumpers as young Norwegian Eirin Maria Kvandal crashed heavily in the landing. The team ran to support her before she was transported directly to the hospital.

After these 3 competitions in Hinzenbach, world cup ranking is getting tighter with Marita Kramer leading with only 9 points ahead of Nika Kriznar and 34 of Sara Takanashi.

The World Cup should continue in Rasnov (ROU) with the men on February 18th, the snow situation being still unclear on Sunday.
