Anders Johnson was named the new coach of the US American women's ski jumping team by USA Nordic.

The 31-year-old former ski jumper, who had his last appearance in the World Cup in 2015, has been working as a coach since he ended his career as an athlete and was the head coach for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined for the Park City Ski & Snowboard Club for the last two years.

“As someone who spent nearly a decade competing in the sport at the highest level, I understand the challenges that my athletes are presented with and I feel like I can connect with them on a personal and professional level to help them overcome those hurdles and achieve their goals", Anders Johnson is quoted on usanordic.org.

The main goal of the new coach are, of course, the upcoming World Championships in Oberstdorf 2021, bur first he wants his team to show consistent performances in the World Cup.
