On Monday there was very good news from Daniel Andre Tande, who is treated in the hospital in Ljubljana after his crash in Planica last week.

The Norwegian, who has been in an artificial coma since Thursday, woke up in the night from Sunday to Monday. That was announced by the Norwegian Ski Association on Monday morning.
"Daniel has made great progress during the night. He is now awake and breathing on his own. The ventilator was removed at 6 am this morning and everything has been fine", said team doctor Guri Ranum Ekaas.

Clas Brede Braathen, sports director of the Norwegian Ski Associations, is of course also happy about this positive news: "Daniel is awake and he was talking to his girlfriend and his mom this morning.
It's hard to describe how relieved we all are now."
