The Austrian team will travel to the FIS Grand Prix in Wisla next week without Stefan Kraft.

Last winter's overall World Cup champion will not be able to participate in the competition in Poland due to back problems.

"We have already decided that a while ago, it's nothing serious", explains the new head coach Andreas Widhoelzl, who is satisfied with the performances of his top athlete during this preparation period despite the fact that the 27-year-old had to reduce his training.

"He is jumping quite well, even though he couldn't make as many jumps as his teammates", Widhoelzl is quoted on orf.at.

The only two FIS Grand Prix competitions of the summer will be held on the Adam-Malysz-hill in Wisla on August 22nd and 23rd. All other organizers had to cancel their events due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
