For Daniel Andre Tande the 2021/22 World Cup season is already over before the final two stops in Oberstdorf (GER) and Planica (SLO).

After the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund, the Norwegian, who had a serious crash at the World Cup final in Planica about a year ago, has decided to not compete in the remaining World Cup events this winter

"This last year has been so much more than I even dared to dream off, and it all ended with another team medal in the ski flying world championship! So I’ve decided that my season is over. I still think I need some more time before ski flying anymore", the 28-year-old wrote on social media.

The comeback season after the crash in Planica ended with two emotional highlights: First the home win in the World Cup on the Holmenkollen in Oslo and then he won the bronze medal with the Norwegian team at the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund last Sunday.
