Daniel Andre Tande is back on the hill

Five months after his crash at the World Cup final in Planica (SLO), Daniel Andre Tande made a big step towards his comeback. The 27-year-old was now able to jump again for the first time since late March.

"It's amazing to finally being able to jump again. I'm a bit surprised that my jumps seem to be at a quite good level already", said the 2018 Ski Flying World Champion, who would have wanted to return to the hill sooner.

"Waiting for the first jumps was awful. I felt that I was ready to jump long before I was given the green light. I knew why I had to wait, but it was a bit difficult for me to watch my teammates jump. Now I'm finally back and it's just amazing."

Daniel Andre Tande had a horrible crash in March in Planica and was in a medically induced coma for some time after that. Two weeks after the crash he could return home to Norway, where he had to undergo surgery due to a fractured collarbone.
