New women's Ski Jumping tournament

The women's World Cup in Ramsau this week, will be the first event of a new special Tournament in women's Ski Jumping: Called the Austrian "Alpenkrone" (Crown of the Alps).

The winner will be the best ski jumper in the competitions in Ramsau (December 17) and Hinzenbach (February 26 and 27). The overall winner of this series will be rewarded with additional prize money of € 10,000.-. The points will be counted the same way as in the World Cup. The jumper, who scored the most points wins.

This "Alpenkrone" is an initiative of the Austrian Ski Association together with its long-term partners who share a common goal: The development of women's Ski Jumping. The sport has made a lot of progress in recent years and it shall now continue the same way. The "Alpenkrone" shall become a regular event in the World Cup calendar and raise the fan's interest in women's Ski Jumping with a creative supporting program.
