Local hero Silje Opseth took her maiden World Cup win on the Holmenkollen in Oslo on Saturday. In bright sunshine and perfect conditions, the 22-year-old came in ahead of RAW AIR leader Nika Kriznar (SLO) and Sara Takanashi of Japan.

"There's no better place and no better day to celebrate the first World Cup win", said Opseth, who took her first win in her 94th World Cup competition. So far she has been second six times, and now she was finally able to claim that first World Cup win.

With Slovenia's Nika Kriznar, the strongest athlete of the RAW AIR finished second today. Kriznar could not only celebrate the second place today but also the fact that she was able to further extend her overall lead in the RAW AIR overall. With 1217.1 points, she is now 49 points ahead of her teammate Ursa Bogataj and 50 points ahead of Sara Takanashi. Takanashi was already 12 points behind the winner this afternoon.
Ursa Bagataj (SLO), Katharina Althaus (GER), Yuki Ito (JPN), and World Cup leader Marita Kramer (AUT) came in fourth - seventh.

Kramer leads the overall World Cup with 1181 points, Nika Kriznar is exactly 200 points behind in second, Ursa Bogataj follows in third with 871 points. With three more competitions left this season (1x Oslo, 2x Oberhof), Marita Kramer has a good chance to claim the overall World Cup title this winter.

She will get a record prize money of 45,000.- Euro. The second- and third-ranked athletes will get 25,000.- resp. 10,000.- Euro.
