Canada's Alexandria Loutitt and Finland's Vilho Palosaari won the Junior World Championship titles on Thursday in Whistler (CAN).
Loutitt clearly prevailed ahead of Nika Prevc and Julia Muehlbacher. In the men's event Palosaari won narrowly ahead of Austria's Jonas Schuster and Jan Habdas from Poland.

In the end it was the expected victory of the favorites, even if it was really close in the juniors. The new Junior World Champion Palosaari (257.9 points) could only save 0.6 points from the second-placed Austrian Jonas Schuster, and again only one point behind him Jan Habdas came in third.

In the junior women's event, Alexandria Loutitt made things clear right from the start.
Best distance in both runs, highest score in both runs and in the end with 260.7 points 14.9 points ahead of second-placed Nika Prevc and almost 40 points ahead of Julia Mühlbacher in third place.

On Saturday, the decisions of the women's and men's teams will follow in Whistler and then on Sunday the mixed team competition.
