Naoki Nakamura has caused one of the surprises of the current winter so far with his third place at the World Cup in Ruka (FIN). The 26-year-old is breaking new ground in professional ski jumping.

Naoki Nakamura is currently in 15th place in the overall World Cup and is the best Japanese, two places ahead of superstar Ryoyu Kobayashi. But the man from Sapporo is not only winning a lot of new fans with his sporting performance at the moment, Nakamura is always in a good mood and extremely funny, his fan base is growing rapidly.

In the summer, the 26-year-old moved from Sapporo to Germany (Bad Reichenhall), as he tells in the video. And because in Japan every ski jumper belongs to a factory team, Nakamura founded his own team without further ado: the "Flying Laboratory" which now appears as a club next to Nakamura's name in the start list. The Flying Laboratory is nothing other than the project he himself launched, in which he is now not only an athlete but also the CEO, as he proudly tells us. The One Man Flying Show of Naoki Nakamura.

When Nakamura moved to Germany in the summer, he quickly realised that he couldn't do without a car. So he bought an affordable Mini on a limited budget. Nakamura only thought about the fact that the jumping skis would also have to fit in this car after the purchase.
It was a real tight squeeze, but the jumping skis fit in the Mini, even though there is not a centimetre of space left. In the video, the extremely likeable Japanese tells the story with his Mini.
