A few days after he won the Tour de Romandie, former ski jumper Primoz Roglic traveled to Innsbruck to see the courses for the UCI Road World Championships 2018. During his time in Tyrol, the Slovene also stopped by at the Bergisel hill.
"I jumped on this hill myself. It's a great feeling to be here again as a visitor. I use the days here to check out the courses for the World Championships and a few parts of the course of the Tour de France. Yesterday I already rode on the course of the road race and I really like the profile a lot", said Primoz Roglic, who started with cycling only six years ago and has already achieved some remarkable successes.
In 2017, the 28-year-old claimed silver at the World Championships in the individual time trial and won a stage of the Tour de France. This year he won the Tour of the Basque Country and the Tour de Romandie in Switzerland.
"Jumping down a hill is, of course, easier than riding up a hill on the bike - but at the same time, it's a lot more dangerous. What's important is to believe in yourself - that's the same for both sports", the Slovene compared Ski Jumping and Cycling.
Before Primoz Roglic will ride in the Tour de France in July, he will take part in the Tour of Slovenia in June. The World Championships in Innsbruck are held from September 22nd to 30th.
