Former 4-Hills-Tournament winner Thomas Diethart has decided to end his career in Ski Jumping.

The Austrian, who suffered a few serious falls over the past years, most recently in December 2017, announced his decision on social media on Monday. There the 26-year-old wrote: "that's it! thank's to all of you who supported me, especially my family, friends, teammates, coaches and my sponsors! I will really miss that feeling to fly."

Thomas Diethart sensationally won the 4-Hills-Tournament in the 2013/14 season. He took a total of two World Cup wins during his career and won silver with the team at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014. The last time he competed in the World Cup was in March 2015.
