What was already suspected by many after the French team nominations were announced on Friday is now official: Vincent Descombes Sevoie has ended his Ski Jumping career.

"I think I have given my all ever since I was five and a half years old. In order to compete with the world's best ski jumpers and the world's best teams you have to give 200 %. I have made many sacrifices during my career and right now I'm not sure if I can continue to do so. This is one of the reasons why I have decided to end my career", the 34-year-old Chamonix native is quoted on ski-nordique.net.
