The Slovenian Peter Prevc will end his career at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old Prevc will officially announce this at a press conference today at 13:00.

The eldest of the four ski jumping Prevc siblings (sister Nika Prevc is currently leading the women's Ski Jumping World Cup, brother Domen Prevc became World Ski Flying Champion on the Kulm with the Slovenian team together with Peter a few days ago), three of whom are currently still successfully competing in the Ski Jumping World Cup (brother Cene Prevc ended his ski jumping career two years ago), has had enough.
Prevc has had an extremely successful career and is a superstar in his Slovenian homeland. Prevc has been Sportsman of the Year in Slovenia several times.
Prevc has scored 299 times in 331 World Cup starts and has a total of 23 World Cup victories to his name.

Prevc celebrated his most successful season in the winter of 2015/2016 when he won the overall World Cup with aplomb.
Prevc celebrated 15 World Cup victories this winter. Prevc also won the Four Hills Tournament and the title of Ski Flying World Champion (Kulm) in the 2015/16 season.
In the previous year, Prevc finished the World Cup season tied on points (1729 points) with Severin Freund (GER), but the big crystal globe went to Severin Freund due to the fewer individual victories achieved.
Prevc has collected numerous other World Championship and Olympic medals over the course of his career.

Beyond his sporting successes, Prevc has always been regarded by athletes, officials and coaches as an extremely fair and modest athlete.
Prevc will make his last jump at the World Cup final in Planica (SLO) next month.
So a popular atmosphere at the end of the ski flying season is pre-programmed. Not only the Slovenian fans will bid farewell to "Peter the Great" from the ski jumps in a worthy setting.
