After a very long and heavy phase of lockdown and strict measures in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, the Italian snowboard cross team, as many other teams worldwide, were not able to get some proper snow training in. Athletes gave their best to stay active and fit at home and worked hard on staying in shape, as we reported weekly in our editions of the Monday Mix.
Last Monday, June 8, it was finally time for the SBX athletes to get out and get those turns going. Omar Visintin, Filippo Ferrari, Lorenzo Sommariva, Michele Godino on the men’s side and crystal globe winner Michela Moioli, Francesca Gallina, Sofia Belingheri and Raffaella Brutto on the women’s side enjoyed a full week of exciting training at the Passo Stelvio in northern Italy.
And here is how it looked – clearly, the athlete’s excitement couldn’t have been bigger:
We are happy to see the Italian SBX team healthy and in such good spirits and getting those training sessions in with even the sun out!
