The SBX team event world champion from Sierra Nevada 2017 (together with team mate Chloe Trespeuch) and SBX vice-world champion of 2011 (La Molina, ESP) and 2015 (Kreischberg, AUT) decided to end her career as professional snowboard cross athlete.
Nelly Moenne-Loccoz made her World Cup debut in 2008 in Bad Gastein (AUT). In the same year, only the following season, she grabbed her first World Cup career podium in Arosa (SUI).
After 12 years on the World Cup circuit, in which she claimed 83 World Cup starts with 22 podiums and 3 victories, the 30-year-old French states she wishes to explore new things in life, leaving professional sport behind.
Moenne-Loccoz also won the snowboard cross Crystal Globe in her very successful season 2014/15 and is a three-time Olympian of Vancouver (CAN) 2010, Sochi (RUS) 2014 and PyeongChang (KOR) 2018.
The retirement was announced via Instagram on the account of the French SBX Team.
