Aerials European Cup wraps up with final events in Airolo and Chiesa in Valmalenco

The Aerials European Cup concluded with its final events in Airolo and Chiesa in Valmalenco, marking the end of a thrilling series that also saw the successful completion of the moguls European Cup, as well as both moguls and aerials North American Cups. The final showdowns of the aerials European Cup took place with two double events in Airolo (SUI) and Chiesa in Valmalenco (ITA).

The competition kicked off in Switzerland on March 15-16, where Angelina Brykina (UKR) clinched the victory in the women's event on the first day, outperforming Emma Weiss (GER) and Oksana Yatsiuk (UKR). In the men's category, Sherzod Khashyrbayev (KAZ) emerged victorious, leading ahead of Maksym Kuznietsov (UKR) and Pirmin Werner (SUI).

The following day witnessed a reshuffling in the women's podium positions, with Weiss and Brykina swapping their 1-2 spots and Yatsiuk securing third place once again. The men's event saw Noe Roth (SUI) taking the top spot, followed by Zachary Maksymchuk (UKR) in second and Sherzod Khashyrbayev (KAZ) in third.

The tour then moved to Chiesa in Valmalenco, a venue that had recently hosted the moguls World Cup finals and was now set to host the European Cup finals in aerials. This venue would also be the stage for the moguls and aerials Junior World Championships in the following days.

In Chiesa in Valmalenco, another double event took place on March 21-22. The first day of competition saw Alexandra Montminy (CAN) leading a Canadian podium sweep, with Rosalie Gagnon and Charlie Fontaine finishing second and third, respectively. In the men's competition, Victor Primeau (CAN) led ahead of his teammate Gabriel Dion and Maksym Kuznietsov (UKR).

The second competition day featured Angelina Brykina (UKR) winning the women's event, followed by Rosalie Gagnon (CAN) and Oksana Yatsiuk (UKR). In the men's event, Victor Primeau (CAN) concluded the season with another victory in Chiesa in Valmalenco, with Elliot Beauregard (CAN) in second and Yan Havriuk (UKR) in third.

With the final competition concluded, it was time to honor the season's standout athletes in the aerials European Cup tour for 2023/24.

In the women's competition, Angelina Brykina secured the top spot with 350 points, thanks to her two wins and one runner-up finish in six events this season. Oksana Yatsiuk claimed second place with 299 points, and Alexandra Montminy completed the top three with 275 points.

On the men's side, Maksym Kuznietsov finished first with 258 points, achieving two top-3 finishes this season and demonstrating consistent performance throughout the campaign. Sherzod Khashyrayev took second place with 231 points, and Victor Primeau rounded out the top three with 213 points.

The Nations Cup was awarded to Ukraine for being the most consistent team on the aerials European Cup tour in 2023/24.
