Mar 12, 2026·FreestyleThe 2025/26 FIS Freestyle European Cup season wrapped up this past weekend with the final two events taking place in Jyväskylä, Finland, where the Moguls and Dual Moguls competitions were held, and in Airolo, Switzerland, which hosted the final Aerials event of the winter. The season proved to be a successful one, with eight stops across Europe and a total of four Aerials competitions alongside twelve Moguls and Dual Moguls events.
The tour began in Ruka, Finland, in December before moving to Megève and Tignes in France in January. February featured competitions in Airolo (SUI), Stockholm (SWE) and Taivalkoski (FIN), before the season concluded this past weekend in Jyväskylä and Airolo.
With the 2025/26 campaign now complete, the overall winners of the European Cup have been decided.
In the women’s Aerials standings, Charlie Fontaine (CAN) claimed the overall title after a consistent season highlighted by her victory in Ruka and three additional top-10 results. Fontaine finished the winter with 203 points. Second place went to Liubou Pilipenka (AIN) with 180 points, while Yelyzaveta Boiarska (UKR) finished close behind in third with 176 points.
On the men’s side, Elliot Primeau (CAN) secured the overall win with 320 points. Primeau recorded four podium finishes during the season, including one victory, two second places and one third-place result. Roman Bondarchuk (UKR) finished second overall with 270 points, while Gabriel Dion (CAN) completed the podium in third with 223 points.
In the Moguls competitions, which featured twelve events throughout the winter, the women’s overall title went to Nova Nilsson (SWE). Nilsson dominated the season by winning both the Moguls and Dual Moguls standings to claim the Overall Moguls ranking with 794 points. After finishing runner-up last year, Nilsson stepped up her performance this season with seven podium finishes, including two victories, to secure the European Cup title.
Second place overall went to her Swedish teammate with 580 points, also finishing second in the Moguls standings and third in Dual Moguls. Lise Bertrand (FRA) finished third overall with 492 points and also took third place in the Moguls ranking. Marie Duaux (FRA) rounded out the top four overall while finishing second in the Dual Moguls standings.
In the men’s Moguls standings, Oliver Verdaguer Forn (ESP) claimed the Overall Moguls title with 661 points and also won the Dual Moguls standings. Verdaguer Forn recorded five podium finishes during the season to secure his first European Cup title. Leo Crozet (FRA) finished second overall with 558 points and also won the Moguls discipline ranking, while Elis Moberg (SWE) completed the overall podium in third place with 519 points and second place in the Dual Moguls standings. Arthur de Villaucourt (FRA) finished second in the Moguls standings, while Antoine Tene (FRA) secured third place in the Dual Moguls ranking.
With the European Cup season now officially concluded, the overall winners normally secure World Cup start positions for next season. However, as both Aerials overall winners, Charlie Fontaine and Elliot Primeau, represent Canada, they are not eligible to claim a World Cup quota spot through the European Cup according to the competition rules. As a result, the World Cup places are awarded to the highest-ranked eligible European athletes, which in this case are Liubou Pilipenka (AIN) and Roman Bondarchuk (UKR). Congratulations to Liubou Pilipenka, Roman Bondarchuk, Nova Nilsson and Oliver Verdaguer Forn on securing their spots on the World Cup tour for next season.
