Berkley Brown closes the chapter on competitive career

Canadian mogul skier Berkley Brown has announced her retirement from competitive skiing, bringing to a close a career that saw her compete on the World Cup stage, represent Canada at the World Championships and stand on the podium at the World Junior Championships.

Brown made her mark internationally early in her career. At the 2016 FIS Junior World Championships in Åre, Sweden, she claimed bronze in dual moguls, earning one of the biggest results of her junior years.

Another major breakthrough followed during the 2016/17 season. At just 16 years old, Brown claimed the Nor-Am Cup moguls overall title after collecting six podiums from eight competitions, including two victories.

Those performances helped establish Brown among Canada's promising young mogul skiers and eventually opened the door to the World Cup, where she made her debut in Calgary in January 2018.

Over the seasons that followed, Brown became a regular presence on the international circuit, competing in 39 World Cup events and recording four top-10 finishes.

Some of her strongest World Cup performances came on home snow at Val St. Come. In January 2024, Brown finished eighth in moguls before going even better the following day with sixth place in dual moguls.

Brown also represented Canada at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, making two World Championships starts during her career.

Across all levels of FIS competition, Brown finishes her career with 108 starts, 26 podiums and six victories.

From a Junior World Championships medal and a Nor-Am overall title to representing Canada at the highest level of the sport, Brown now closes a chapter that stretched across more than a decade of international competition.
