Chen Meiting and Noé Roth claim overall Aerials Grand Prix titles as summer series concludes in Qinhuangdao

The 2026 FIS Freestyle Aerials Grand Prix came to a close on Sunday, 20 September, with Chen Meiting (CHN) and Noé Roth (SUI) taking victories in the final competition in Qinhuangdao (CHN) and securing the respective overall Grand Prix titles.

Following Saturday's opening competition, the athletes returned to the National Sports Administration Qinhuangdao Training Base for another day of action, bringing the three-event summer series to an exciting conclusion.

For Chen, it was a perfect weekend on home soil, while Roth capped off his summer campaign with a victory and his second consecutive overall Grand Prix title.

Chen Meiting completes Qinhuangdao double

China's Chen Meiting continued her impressive form on Sunday, claiming her second victory in as many days to complete a perfect weekend in Qinhuangdao.

After topping Saturday's competition with a Full-Full-Full worth 116.34 points, Chen once again delivered when it mattered most, landing the same trick in Sunday's super final to score 112.90 points and secure another victory.

Hanna Huskova (AIN) stepped up to claim second place with a Full-Full-Full worth 107.32 points, while Yang Xinyi (CHN) completed the podium with a Lay-Full-Full, scoring 103.51 points.

For Yang, it was her third podium finish in three Grand Prix competitions this summer, following second place in Mettmenstetten (SUI) and third place in Saturday's opening event in Qinhuangdao.

The consistency put Yang firmly in contention for the overall title, but Chen's back-to-back victories ultimately proved decisive.

Both Chinese athletes finished the 2026 Grand Prix season level on 200 points, with Chen taking the overall title on the tiebreaker thanks to her two victories compared to Yang's zero.

Huskova completed the overall women's podium in third place with 175 points.

Roth takes final victory and second consecutive Grand Prix title

The men's competition saw Noé Roth return to the top step of the podium, delivering another impressive performance to secure Sunday's victory and wrap up the overall Grand Prix title.

After finishing runner-up in both Mettmenstetten and Saturday's opening competition in Qinhuangdao, the Swiss aerialist saved his best result for the final event of the summer.

Roth landed his signature Full-triple Full-Full, also known as the Hurricane, scoring 136.76 points to claim the victory.

Li Tianma (CHN) finished second with 133.50 points for a double Full-Full-double Full, while Saturday's winner Chen Shuo (CHN) completed the podium with a Full-triple Full-Full worth 130.00 points.

With two second-place finishes and Sunday's victory, Roth concluded the three-event Grand Prix series with an impressive 260 points, securing his second consecutive overall title.

Li Xinpeng (CHN), winner of the opening competition in Mettmenstetten, finished second in the overall standings with 176 points, while Chen Shuo completed the season podium in third place with 160 points.

The Qinhuangdao competitions brought another summer Grand Prix campaign to a close, with the athletes now turning their attention towards the upcoming 2026/27 FIS Freestyle World Cup season.
