Idre Fjäll set to host FIS Open Moguls classic with live streaming
Nov 20, 2025·Freestyle
This weekend, 22–23 November, the slopes of Idre Fjäll, Sweden, will host the traditional FIS Open Moguls competition, bringing together more than 100 athletes from over 10 nations. The event marks an important milestone in the early season as athletes gear up for the first World Cup of the year in Ruka in early December.
Following the successful opening FIS Open event in Hintertux earlier this month, Idre’s classic FIS Open provides another key opportunity for rising talents to test themselves—and for World Cup athletes to fine-tune their form ahead of the Olympic season.
On the start list, the Swedish Moguls Team is leading the charge with athletes such as Filip Gravenfors, Rasmus Stegfeldt and Robin Olgård, just to name a few of their top contenders. The Japanese team is also arriving with a very strong squad, led by prodigy Ikkei Fujimura, who has been throwing down effortless 1440s in training leading up to the event. Add Taketo Nishizawa, Osuke Nakahara and Goshin Fujiki to the mix, and suddenly the field looks deep with athletes capable of pushing for the win.
Things are just as exciting on the women’s side. Once again, the Japanese team is bringing a full-strength lineup with Rino Yanagimoto, Hinako Tomitaka, Haruka Nakao and Marin Ito among the top names in a stacked roster. They’ll be joined by Hanna Wesse of Germany, as well as Sweden’s Moa Gustafson and Nikolina Stenkula, along with several other athletes ready to make an impact as the new season gets underway.
Competition will take place on the “Mascots Delight” course. With its 240-meter length and steep 27.8% pitch, it offers a true technical challenge and is well known for rewarding precision, speed and strong technique. The demanding layout has long made Idre Fjäll a favourite testing ground for athletes early in the season.
