Milano Cortina 2026 delivered history across disciplines as Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (NOR)  matched Bjørn Dæhlie’s record with an eighth Olympic gold, claiming his first 10km Freestyle title in Tesero. In Livigno, Josie Baff (AUS) produced a breakthrough run, becoming just the second Australian woman to win snowboard gold. The night session then belonged to Yuto Totsuka (JPN), whose 95.00-point halfpipe performance headlined one of the most technically advanced finals ever seen.

Cross-Country - Skiing Men's 10km Interval Start Free

Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (NOR) claimed his eighth Olympic gold in the Men’s 10km Interval Start Free, equalling Bjørn Dæhlie’s record with a hard-fought victory in Tesero. France’s Mathis Desloges continued his breakthrough Games with a second silver, while Olympic debutant Einar Hedegart (NOR) secured bronze after fading in the final kilometre. The win marked Klaebo’s first Olympic 10km Freestyle title, sealed with a decisive push on the final climb.

This is the first time I have won a 10k skating [Freestyle] Interval Start, so being able to do that here at the Olympics, it’s just amazing, and with the weather and the atmosphere, to kind of have my best day here at the Olympics, it’s special. Snowboard - Women's Snowboard Cross

Josie Baff (AUS) stormed to Olympic gold in Women’s Snowboard Cross, becoming the first Australian to win the event with a fearless Big Final performance in Livigno. Seeded 17th after qualifying and surviving a photo finish in the quarterfinals, Baff surged from third to first in her semifinal and delivered a decisive inside pass in the final to seal victory. Eva Adamczykova (CZE) claimed silver to complete her full Olympic medal set, while Michela Moioli (ITA) thrilled the home crowd with bronze. Baff’s triumph makes her only the second Australian woman to win Olympic snowboard gold, underlining a landmark moment for her nation.

Yuto Totsuka (JPN) captured Olympic halfpipe gold with a stunning 95.00-point run in one of the most progressive finals ever staged. Scotty James(AUS) took silver after falling on his final attempt while pushing to upgrade his run, while Ryusei Yamada (JPN) secured bronze to complete a Japanese 1-3 podium. The contest showcased triple cork combinations and competition-first tricks throughout.
