The Saslong Classic Club, led by Mr. Rainer Senoner, a candidate for the Alpine WSC 2029, organized a highly efficient and successful speed training camp in Val Gardena from April 1st to April 5th, 2023, in collaboration with FIS, marking the consecutive occurrence in the current season.

Six athletes (3 females and 4 males) representing 5 NSAs (ARG, HUN, IRL, LAT, KOS) along with more than 3 coaches, were provided with the opportunity to train on meticulously prepared slopes amidst perfect weather conditions. The venue's conditions facilitated skill enhancement for all participants, enabling them to take significant steps forward in their athletic careers.

While the training camp primarily focused on Downhill and Super-G, athletes also engaged in Giant Slalom sessions during periods of poor visibility that hindered speed training. These aspiring "future ski champions" enjoyed numerous runs under optimal snow conditions with the assistance of professionals from the Organizing Committee of the Ski World Cup Downhill Men of Val Gardena.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, plans are already underway to continue utilizing Val Gardena as the preferred location for speed camps, ensuring the continuous progression of athlete development.
