FIS and Ski Austria announce long-term international media rights license agreement

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and Ski Austria have concluded a landmark agreement that will shape the future of snow sports broadcasting. Beginning with the 2027/28 season, FIS will oversee the distribution of international media and broadcast rights for FIS World Cup events in Austria across all platforms. The rights will be distributed by Infront as part of its existing exclusive agency agreement with FIS for the distribution of the international media rights to FIS World Cup events for all platforms. The agreement between FIS and Ski Austria spans seven seasons, running through the conclusion of the 2033/34 season.

This long-term partnership reflects the joint commitment of FIS and Ski Austria and marks a major milestone in the global evolution of snow sports. Integrating the management of the international broadcast rights to the Austrian World Cup competitions will unlock new opportunities to present snow sports to a broad international audience. It also guarantees planning security for the organizers and ensures worldwide visibility of the events.
