With the ski and snowboard community gathered for the FIS Spring Meetings in Portorož, Slovenia, the FIS Council held a meeting on Tuesday, 5 May, and decided on key steps for upcoming editions of the FIS World Championships, chief of which was the appointment of Bardonecchia (ITA) as hosts of the FIS Para World Championships 2029.
The members of the Council unanimously approved the application submitted by the Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali Paralimpici ─ with guaranteed support from the local authorities and in coordination with FISI (the Italian National Ski Association) ─ for Bardonecchia to host an event comprising all three Para disciplines: Alpine, Cross-Country, and Snowboard.
Dates confirmed for 2029
The Council also approved the proposed dates for the other three editions of the FIS World Championships scheduled for 2029:

FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Narvik 2029: 13-25 February 2029
