Roman Kumpost

Roman Kumpost (*1962) has been member of the FIS Nordic Combined Executive Board since 1989 and also served as its Chairman in 2010 - 2013. He has been on the FIS Council since 2010 and in 2020, he was appointed  as Vice-President to the vacant position Europe (Eastern regions), following the passing of Janez Kocijancic (SLO) earlier this year.

He has been Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Czech Ski Association since 2006, member of Executive Board of Czech Olympic Committee since 2011 and also served as President of the Organising Committee of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF) in Liberec (CZE) in 2011 and as President of the Organising Committee of Nordic Junior World Ski Championschip in Liberec (CZE) in 2013. In the past, Mr Kumpost served as President of the Organising Committee of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec (2004-2007), after having led the bid committee for eight years (1996-2004). He was the President of the Czech Ski Association from 2001-2004, following his career as member and team manager of the Czechoslovak Nordic Combined National Team in the 1980's and early 1990's.

Mr Kumpost is the CEO of STEINEL Technik s.r.o as well as owner and CEO of both TERZET spol. s r.o and SMS Design s.r.o.

Holder of a degree in machinery from the Technical University of Liberec, Mr Kumpost resides in Liberec.
