The women’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup season kicked off this afternoon as 35 athletes from 11 nations took to the Grånasen HS 102 hill for two training jumps followed by the Provisional Competition Round (PCR).

On a day marked by high anticipation, 18-year-old Norwegian athlete Ingrid Laate delivered the standout performance, flying an impressive 100 meters - the longest jump of the day. Her effort earned 127.6 points, securing a strong lead and the PCR victory on home soil.

Katharina Gruber followed in second place with a solid 96.5-meter jump worth 113.6 points, while Alexa Brabec of the United States rounded out the top three with 96 meters and 109.9 points.

The action now turns to tomorrow’s Individual Gundersen, officially opening the women’s season. The jumping round is scheduled for 11:00 CET, with fans eager to see whether Laate can maintain her strong early form.
