The Men’s FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix opened with the Provisional Competition Round (PCR) in Oberstdorf this evening, where bright sunshine welcomed the 50 athletes from 12 nations on the HS137 hill.

Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger delivered the highlight of the day with the furthest jump of 130 meters. His performance earned him 157.1 points and secured victory in the first PCR of the summer season.

Germany’s Wendelin Thannheimer followed in second place after a strong 128-meter jump, scoring 147.2 points. Completing the podium was Austria’s Johannes Lamparter, who also reached 130 meters but collected 141.9 points, placing him third.

The action in Oberstdorf continues tomorrow with the Men’s Individual Compact competition, set to take place at 18:45 CET in the Orlen Arena.
