Rettenegger wins PCR in Lahti with 129.5 meters
Mar 05, 2026·Nordic CombinedThe Provisional Competition Round (PCR) for the men’s FIS Nordic Combined World Cup took place Thursday under clear blue skies in Lahti, with athletes testing their form ahead of the upcoming Individual Gundersen competition.
A total of 49 athletes from 11 nations lined up for one training jump followed by the PCR on the renowned HS130 at the Salpausselkä Ski Stadium.
Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger produced the standout performance of the session. The current leader of the Best Jumper Trophy soared to 129.5 meters, the longest jump of the day, collecting 141.8 points to secure the provisional round victory and underline his strong form on the hill.
Second place went to Norway’s Einar Luraas Oftebro, who reached 125 meters and scored 136.5 points, putting himself in a promising position ahead of competition day.
Japan’s Ryota Yamamoto completed the top three with a jump of 129 meters, earning 134.2 points.
The men’s Individual Gundersen competition in Lahti will begin tomorrow, with the ski jumping round scheduled for 13:00 CET.
