The Provisional Competition Round (PCR) for the Men’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup took place on Thursday in Seefeld, Austria, under sunny conditions on the Toni Seelos HS109 hill.

A total of 59 athletes from 14 nations were on the start list, completing one training jump followed by the PCR on the renowned Seefeld venue.

Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the PCR. Rettenegger jumped 104 meters and scored 126.8 points to take the top spot, leading an Austrian one-two finish. His teammate Franz-Josef Rehrl followed closely in second place, landing a 100-meter jump and earning 124.7 points.

Germany’s Richard Stenzel completed the PCR podium as third. Despite producing the longest jump among the top three with 105 meters, Stenzel collected 121.4 points.

The furthest jump of the day overall was recorded by Austria’s Paul Walcher, who soared to 105.5 meters. His effort earned 121.2 points, placing him fifth in the final PCR standings.

The men’s Nordic Combined Triple continues on Friday with the first competition, a 10 km Mass Start race scheduled for 12:30 CET.
