Rettenegger leads Austrian charge in Oberstdorf PCR

Stefan Rettenegger (AUT) came out on top in the Men’s Provisional Competition Round at the FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Oberstdorf (GER) tonight.

In rainy conditions, 55 athletes from 14 nations completed one training jump before the PCR.

Rettenegger produced the longest jump of the evening, reaching 138 meters. With 149.7 points, the Austrian narrowly secured first place.

Kristjan Ilves (EST) finished just behind in second. The Estonian landed at 135.5 meters and collected 148.9 points, only 0.8 points short of the lead.

Franz-Josef Rehrl (AUT) made it two Austrians in the top three, placing third with a jump of 133 meters and 140.5 points. With Thomas Rettenegger (140.1 pts) and Paul Walcher (138.4 pts) a total of four Austrians finished in the Top 5.
