Gruber wins rainy Women’s PCR in Chaux-Neuve

Katharina Gruber (AUT) claimed victory in the Women’s Provisional Competition Round at the FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Chaux-Neuve (FRA) today.

In rainy conditions, 16 athletes from seven nations completed two training jumps before the PCR on the HS 118.

Gruber, who wears the blue bib as Best Jumper, reached 103.5 meters and collected 106.6 points to take the top spot.

The longest jump of the day came from her Austrian teammate Claudia Purker, who landed at 108 meters. With 104.4 points, she finished second.

Local hero Romane Baud (FRA) completed the top three with a jump of 102.5 meters and 94.4 points.

The first competition in Chaux-Neuve gets underway tomorrow, with the jumping round of the Individual Gundersen scheduled for 11:45 CET.
