Oftebro leads the way in Bischofshofen PCR

Norway dominated the opening Provisional Competition Round of the Men’s FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Bischofshofen, with Jens Luraas Oftebro leading the way on the HS 142.

Under blue skies and in hot summer conditions, 51 athletes from 13 nations completed two training jumps before the PCR.

Jens Luraas Oftebro (NOR) produced the strongest performance of the day. His 137.5-meter jump was the longest of the session and earned him 162.4 points, enough to finish at the top of the standings.

Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger came closest to challenging the Norwegian, jumping 135.5 meters for 154.9 points and second place.

Einar Luraas Oftebro (NOR) made it two Norwegians in the top three. With 133.5 meters and 154.1 points, he finished just 0.8 points behind Rettenegger in third.

Attention now turns to the first competition of the Summer Grand Prix, with the jumping round of tomorrow’s Individual Gundersen starting at 13:30 CET.
