PCR victory for Gruber in Oberstdorf

The Provisional Competition Round for the Women’s FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Oberstdorf (GER) took place beneath cloudy skies this evening.
A total of 21 athletes from eight nations were on the start list for two training jumps followed by the PCR.
Katharina Gruber (AUT) delivered the strongest performance of the round, reaching 127 meters and collecting 147.7 points to secure the PCR victory.
Summer Grand Prix overall leader Ida Marie Hagen (NOR) finished second with a jump of 126 meters and 140.4 points.
Ema Volavsek (SLO), currently leading the Best Skier Trophy, completed the top three with 122 meters and 133.4 points.
The furthest jump of the day came from Alexa Brabec (USA), who reached 136.5 meters. However, the American fell on landing and lost valuable points, finishing fourth with 130.2 points and a 17-second gap.
The Oberstdorf Night Race gets underway tomorrow at 18:00 CET with the jumping round of the Individual Compact.
