Viessmann Combined for Change FIS Climate Awards
The 2025/26 season marks an important step in strengthening climate action across snow sports by recognising organisations that move from commitment to implementation.
FIS and its long-time partner Viessmann Climate Solutions are therefore launching two awards dedicated to Nordic Combined World Cup organisers as part of FIS’ commitment to measurable environmental action through the FIS Impact Programme.
The Viessmann Combined for Change FIS Climate Awards will recognize the following achievements in the use of the FIS CO2 calculator:
The Nordic Combined LOC demonstrating the most consistent and systematic use of the CO2 Calculator
The Nordic Combined LOC achieving the most credible and measurable CO2 emissions reductions
These awards acknowledge both the effective use of data and the tangible organisational changes that lead to lower emissions in event delivery.
Efforts to make the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup as sustainable as possible will be more important than ever in order to balance environmental responsibility and sporting tradition.
To further recognise commitment to sustainable snow sports, the Viessmann Combined for Change FIS Climate Awards build on last year’s Combined for Change Sustainability Tour and Award, continuing the joint FIS–Viessmann initiative to engage all Local Organising Committees (LOCs) in concrete sustainability actions.
The two most effective initiatives supporting sustainable winter sports during the 2025/26 Nordic Combined season will be recognised with €2,500 each to further develop their sustainability engagement.
