The FIS Ski Cross World Cup Season: Revving Up for Action After Successful Inspections!

Nov 01, 2023·Ski Cross
Big snow depots in Idre, setting the stage for an epic season showdown with massive jumps!

Hold onto your helmets, ski cross enthusiasts. As winter approaches, our Race Director, Klaus Waldner, and his team have completed all inspections for the upcoming races this season. The most recent inspections were carried out in Oberwiesenthal, Germany, preceded by visits to Canada, Veysonnaz, Idre Fjäll, and Val Thorens. Inspections were even conducted in challenging weather conditions, including rain in Swedens Idre. All organizers are highly motivated, and everything is well-prepared for the new season. We are adding three exciting new tracks to the calendar: Oberwiesenthal in Germany, Alleghe in Italy, and St. Moritz in Switzerland. St. Moritz, which hosted European Cups in the previous season, will also serve as the test event for the 2025 World Championships.

In total, we have 11 organizers, representing 8 different nations, hosting 19 races. This is the largest ski cross calendar ever, and it's eagerly awaiting us. Meanwhile, national teams are making their final preparations all over glaciers in Europe, Indoor skiing places and even down south in Chile, all set for an epic season opener in Val Thorens!
