The Mühlenkopfschanze in Willingen is the largest „large hill ski jump“ in the world, because jumps of over 150 m are possible. Since May 2003 it is together with the Bloukova Velikanka in Planica the only jumping hill with a K-Point of 130 m.

With the conversion and modernization a new inrun tower called “Adlerhorst” was built which includes a warm-up room. The competitions in the Hochsauerland are a highlight in the World Cup calender every year, because of the massive crowds travelling to the jump. Before the conversion in 2000 there was also a K89 beside the K120 ski jump.
