The Ski Jumping community is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Horst Tielmann (NED), former COC Coordinator and esteemed FIS Honorary Member, who left us last week at the age of 70.

From 2005 to 2020, Tielmann played a pivotal role in shaping the Ski Jumping Continental Cup, elevating the competition series to new heights. His expertise and commitment made a lasting impact on the sport, earning him widespread respect among athletes and officials alike.

FIS Honorary Member since 2024

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Tielmann was made an FIS Honorary Member in 2024. Beyond his role with the Continental Cup, he worked extensively with national federations, including the German Ski Association (DSV) and the Dutch Ski Association, where he served for over 30 years as a coach, consultant, and official.
