Eder claims home snow victory in Hinzenbach
Mar 01, 2026·Ski JumpingLisa Eder (AUT) gave the Austrian fans plenty to cheer about as she soared to a home snow victory in Hinzenbach, Austria, on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Austrian finished 11.3 points ahead of two-time Olympic champion Anna Odine Stroem (NOR). Nika Prevc (SLO) rounded out the podium, moving up from tenth to third in the final round.
Eder led the way from start to finish after a strong opening jump of 88.5m and 125.2 points, giving her a 7.7-point advantage over Stroem, while Heidi Dyhre Traaserud (NOR) sat in third at the halfway stage.
Eder further extended her advantage in the second round, with a jump of 86m and 121.9 points for a combined total of 247.1 points.
"It was yet another super day in Hinzenbach", Eder said with a smile. "The first round went super well for me. The second round wasn't as good, but I'm happy it was still enough for the win. It feels great to win here. Hinzenbach is always special."
It’s Eder’s first-ever individual World Cup victory on home snow, and her second win of the season, ánd career following her triumph in Zao (JPN) in January.
The Austrian had finished second behind Prevc on Saturday, falling short of a home‑snow victory by just 3.0 points.
Prevc had a more difficult time on the hill on Sunday. The 20-year-old Slovenian had a disappointing first round jump with 80.5m and 107.4 points, managed to climb all the way from tenth to third with a strong second round (89.5m and 122.9 points), finishing with a combined total of 230.3 points.
"I'm very much (satisfied) with the second round", Prevc said afterward. "But I'm disappointed about the first one. I was just very, very late, and the jump was short. But the good thing about today is also that we don't have any more small (normal) hills left", she added with a smile.
Traaserud moved from third to fourth after the final round, scoring 230.1 points—just 0.2 points behind Prevc.
Nika Vodan (SLO) rounded out the top five, finishing ahead of Abigail State (CAN), Agnes Reisch (GER) and Sara Takanashi (JPN).
Crystal Globe runner-up Nozomi Maruyama (JPN) landed in 11th position on the second day of competition in Hinzenbach.
