France, Finland, Croatia and Slovenia publish their team rosters

Several of alpine skiing’s leading nations, including Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the United States and Norway, have set the early benchmark for the 2026/27 season by unveiling national teams that balance established World Cup success with emerging talent. They are now joined by France, Finland and a growing list of federations, as the international field continues to come into focus ahead of the upcoming Alpine World Cup campaign.

French momentum continues through Miradoli, Rassat and Noël

Across a campaign marked by several strong individual performances, the French Ski Federation enters the new season with a balanced mix of Olympic success and World Cup breakthroughs. The women's team is led by Olympic Super-G silver medalist Romane Miradoli, who secured France's only alpine skiing medal at Milano Cortina 2026, alongside experienced World Cup skiers Laura Gauche and Camille Cerutti in the speed group. On the technical side, the women's squad is guided by Marion Chevrier, who delivered her best World Cup season to date, finishing 11th in the slalom standings.

On the World Cup circuit, France also collected key highlights, including three victories in total — one from Clément Noël and a maiden breakthrough season for Paco Rassat, who claimed his first career win in Gurgl before adding a second triumph in Adelboden. Overall, the French team recorded three second-place finishes and five third-place results across the men's and women's squads.

On the men's side, the speed group is anchored by Nils Allègre and Cyprien Sarrazin, whose return to the World Cup circuit next season is eagerly anticipated. In the technical events, Clément Noël and Paco Rassat remain the standard-bearers, but the spotlight also falls on young Alban Elezi Cannaférina, who capped a breakthrough campaign with his first career podium in Giant Slalom in Schladming.

Hallberg leads the Fearless Finns into next season

Finland’s 2026/27 alpine campaign will be spearheaded by Eduard Hallberg, who emerges as the leading figure of the A team after a rise on the 2025/26 World Cup circuit and growing expectations around his technical disciplines. He is joined by Elian Lehto, while the supporting cast features B-team athletes Jesper Pohjolainen and Erika Pykäläinen, alongside a developing group of younger skiers such as Rosa Pohjolainen and Veera Alaniska continuing their progression through the national ranks.

The foundation for the Fearless Finn's new season is built on a 2025/26 campaign that delivered three World Cup podiums. With Hallberg increasingly establishing himself as a key figure within the squad, the program will aim to build on that momentum and work towards greater consistency at the top level.

Croatian squad looks ahead with Ljutić and Zubčić

The Croatian squad heads into the new season with a women's A-team composed of Leona Popović and Zrinka Ljutić, and a men's A-team featuring Filip Zubčić, Samuel Kolega and Istok Rodeš. Despite a difficult season overall, Zrinka Ljutić managed to get on the podium in giant slalom, finishing second in Tremblant. On the men's side, Filip Zubčić set a positive tone early in the campaign with a third-place finish in giant slalom in Copper Mountain, and the expectations are high across the whole technical group. Samuel Kolega and Istok Rodeš are also capable of delivering fast turns on the big stage, as Kolega demonstrated in 2024/25 when he claimed his first World Cup podium in Madonna di Campiglio.

Slovenia navigates a transitional season

Slovenia enters a new chapter following the retirements of Ilka Stuhec and Ana Bučik Jogan, two pillars of the women's programme. The team is now led by Neja Dvornik and Andreja Slokar, though both skiers battled injuries during the winter. Encouragingly, both are reported to be progressing well and are expected to be ready for the start of next season. On the men's side, Miha Hrobat spearheads the speed group, while Zan Kranjec remains the reference point in the technical events, a dependable backbone as the federation looks to rebuild depth around its established names.
