It took the FIS Snowboard World Cup circuit eight years to come back to Slovenia, and until Rogla filled out a blank spot on the map.

In 2005, Maribor had been organizing a parallel World Cup. In 2013, the World Cup finally returned to the Pohorje region.

Ever since, Rogla has been hosting a World Cup event on an annual base. In the 2017-18 season, Local Organisers will take care of back-to-back parallel giant slalom races on the Jasa slope again.
