FIS Cross-Country family mourns death of Mona-Liisa Nousiainen

FIS would like to extend its sincere condolences to the family of former Finnish Cross-Country skier Mona-Liisa Nousiainen who died of a long-term illness on Monday, 29th July 2019. The death of the 36-year-old was confirmed by her family.

In 2001, Nousiainen competed her first World Cup competition and recorded her career highlights in 2013, when she won gold at the Sprint C in Liberec (CZE) and the team Sprint C in Sochi (RUS) together with Anne Kyllönen.

Mona-Liisa Nousiainen ended her competitive skiing career in 2018.
